We specialize in flat correspondence cards which can be personal stationery for handwriting notes, a party invitation or a holiday card to which you apply a real photo.

We offer 5 sizes:

• Mini (coin) — 2" x 3 1/2"
• Petite (4 bar) — 3 1/2" x 4 7/8"
• Medium (A2) — 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
• Large (A6) — 4 1/2" x 6 1/4"
• #10 card — 3 7/8" x 9 1/4"

We use only thick paper to best capture the beauty of letterpress printing.

Super Smooth White - A bright, white paper made in the U.S.A. It feels substantial and rigid when you slide in in an envelope. It has the smoothest-writing surface.

Creamy Vanilla - A gently-textured ecru paper made in Italy with a 20% cotton content. The surface has a widely-spaced, rippled texture that makes for easy writing.

Our heavy envelopes are made from substantial paper and are almost all recycled paper. The rich color matches the ink and makes your correspondence stand out in the mailbox. Our envelopes have a deep v-flap on the opening making for easy in-and-out of the card and for a dramatic closure. The paper is heavy ensuring your writing inside is kept secure.

We generally match the ink color of the imprint to one of our rich-colored envelopes. Look at our swatches here to choose a color, but know that colors on your screen may not be precisely how they look in person. If youd like a sample of a color, please ask. Insert swatches here? or click thru?

Included in you price is the creation of a unique stationery design. Additional design time is $55 per hour. For a 2nd ink color, add 25% to the price. We are happy to provide a custom price for other specifications.

We will shortly send back to you a PDF layout of your design for your approval. When you return your signed design layout with a 50% deposit we will begin crafting your personal design. Please give us 4 to 5 weeks to make your stationery (good things come to those who wait!)

If you choose "Quick Cards", your stationery will be made for you within 2 weeks from the date we receive your approved layout.

We do not charge extra for creating a unique stationery design. For wedding ensembles, our price includes three initial design options and one round of design modifications based on your chosen option. Additional modifications, changes type changes or re-designs may incur design charges at $55 per hour. No changes are possible once you've signed your proof—so please examine those documents closely! Based on the pieces you desire (invitation, map card, rsvp card, etc.), we can give you a customized price for your ensemble. Please start early, as our experience tells us that design modfications can take time!

All our stationery is letterpress printed one piece at a time on a 100-year old hand-operated printing press. Your personalized stationery will be one-of-a-kind. A rubber or zinc "plate" is molded with your name or design, and used to create your limited edition stationery. Each piece is printed with rich-colored ink, and embossed for a three-dimensional result, using splendidly thick American and Italian papers. We match your cards with substantial envelopes from the U.S. and France and box it up to ensure you receive an ensemble that will last a long time. Our goal is to do all this in a cost-efficient manner so you can have luxury stationery at an affordable price.

We will strive to complete your order as quickly as possible, but because of the labor-intensive process it may take a bit of time. We appreciate your patience—good things come to those who wait!

You will receive a black and white "proof" on plain paper or as a PDF file to confirm spelling, font, card size, color and positioning of the name or image on the card. Please review this carefully, sign where indicated and return it to us as soon as possible. Once ordered, custom stationery cannot be cancelled or returned. Alterations that you wish to make in your order after you have signed and returned the proof will require additional time and incur additional charges, both of which can be significant.

All ink colors will be matched at the time of printing to the envelopes selected unless otherwise instructed. As close a match as possible will be attained but please understand that variations in ink intensity and depth of emboss are a natural part of the letterpress process, and it may not be possible to exactly match the color of ink to the color of another material (solid color paper, labels, fabric, etc.) If the exact hue of the color is of great importance to you we invite you to select a PMS color for us to match. We know that your custom stationery is very important to you, so we urge you to ask questions or express any concerns when you approve your proof.

Here's some things we have to say. We are a small company and we respectfully ask that you not copy, reproduce or replicate any aspect of the designs of our stationery. All the artwork, motifs, and designs on our stationery is owned by Hollycake or various artists from whom we license artwork. It is an infringement of U.S. Copyright Law to reproduce or use these designs without the express written consent of Hollycake or the original licensor, whichever is applicable. This means you cannot use the designs yourself, nor can you take them to another designer or printer and use them.
